“Initially, it appears that the vehicle was actually parked, and that the cyclist drove into the back of the vehicle,” Toronto police Const. Clint Stibbe said.

The cyclist was transported to Sunnybrook hospital without vital signs, he said.

Traffic reconstruction teams have closed Laurentide Drive between Larabee Crescent and Alvarado Place in both directions for an investigation.

Officers are looking to speak with witnesses to the collision.
