Calgary police investigate after man dropped off at hospital with gunshot wound

Police investigate a residence on Edmonton Trail Monday night. Global Calgary

Calgary police are investigating after a man in his 40s was dropped off at the Foothills hospital Monday afternoon with a gunshot wound.

According to a Calgary Police Service (CPS) spokesperson, the man was in stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon. There were no other victims.

Officers searched a residence in the 400 block of Edmonton Trail N.E. Monday night following the incident.

Police believe that is where the shooting occurred.

CPS does not know who dropped the man off at the hospital. They do not believe the incident was random.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

An investigation is ongoing.
