“Cover more parts of the city. And we need more volunteers. We’re trying to get to 1,200 volunteers this time around,” Eric Latimer, organizer of IcountMTL.ca told Global News.

Latimer is hoping the data collected can be used to help government’s design strategies to fight homelessness.

“It can help to target interventions more precisely,” he said.

The count is planned for April 24, and 1,200 volunteers are needed.

People can register on the I count MTL 2018 website.
