Teen assaulted with handgun in Hamilton home invasion: police

Two suspects are being sought after a home invasion early Friday morning.

Hamilton police say a 17-year-old boy was sleeping in the basement of a home on Robins Avenue when he was woken up by two males demanding money at around 1 a.m.

Police said the victim was hit across the mouth and nose with the butt end of a handgun. The suspects then fled with a sum of money.

Police believe this was a targeted incident.

The suspects are described as in their late teens or early 20s wearing dark pants and hoodies.
