Winnipeg police are looking for two suspects after an 18-year-old girl says she was sexually assaulted.

On March 4, police received a report that a sexual assault happened between 6 and 7 a.m. near Ellice Avenue and Home Street.

The girl reported being approached by two men who showed a weapon and robbed her purse. The victim ran after the men, following them into a nearby lane where she was sexually assaulted by both men.

The suspects are described as men in their early 20s, with thin builds and short black hair, shaved on the sides.

The Sex Crimes Unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sex Crimes Unit at 204-986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
