Video posted on social media Sunday shows part of a roof collapsing at a Chinese airport during heavy winds and a torrential downpour.
According to local media reports, the roof at Nanchang Changbei International Airport in Jiangxi province came down at about 3:30 p.m. local time. The roof was located outside Terminal 2 at the entrance to the building.
China News Service agency reported that no one was injured during the incident and the main structure of the building was not affected, though the high winds did suspend flights for a brief time. However, The Strait Times reports the building still suffered significant damage from the collapse.
Wind speeds were reportedly reaching more than 108 km/h.

One person told news website Qq.com that the sky turned dark, then the wind “became really, really heavy.”
Channel News Asia also obtained video which shows a view from outside the airport as the roof collapses, sending vehicles attempting to move away from the entrance.
The airport has been serving people in Nanchang since 1996 and, according to China News Service, had more than 10.9 million passengers through its doors last year.
