Vernon RCMP called the February 2016 incident violent and bizarre.
Now, a man has been convicted of dangerous driving and possessing illegal drugs but acquitted of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.

Abd’L-Malik Loubissi-Morris was accused of deliberately using a vehicle as a weapon to hit a pedestrian.
“I tried to run but I only got one step before the car smoked me in the right knee and I landed on top of the hood,” said Lisa David.
Two other people dove out of the way of the car.
The prosecutor alleged Loubissi-Morris was motivated by a perceived slight or concern the pedestrians had witnessed illegal drug activity.
Loubissi-Morris will be sentenced at a later date.
Immediately after the incident, David’s boyfriend pepper-sprayed and stabbed Loubissi-Morris in the face.
Thomas Ritchie pleaded guilty to assault with a weapon.
