The 2018 Winter Olympics may have come to an end but the celebration continues for figure skater Kaetlyn Osmond.

Osmond, who trains in Alberta’s Capital Region, arrived back in Edmonton on Monday afternoon.
She was greeted warmly at the Edmonton International Airport by crowds of fans and fellow figure skaters.

The 22-year-old won a gold medal in the team event in Pyeongchang as well as an individual bronze medal.
“It’s so exciting,” she told reporters upon her arrival at the airport. “It still doesn’t feel real. I think it will take a few days at home before it all sinks in.
“I couldn’t be happier with how this all turned out.”
Osmond said she had to be on top of her game to compete against the Russians when she captured her bronze medal.
“It felt like the best I ever skated ever and it didn’t matter if I came third or not,” she said.
Osmond added her “social media has been exploding” and that she’s grateful to Canadians for all of their support.
