Pregnant pedestrian struck by vehicle in Tillsonburg

Police are seeking the public’s help after a pregnant woman was struck by a vehicle in Tillsonburg.

Oxford County OPP said the hit-and-run collision happened on Lisgar Avenue just east of Van Norman Drive at about 11:30 a.m on Friday.

The 21-year-old pedestrian was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and police said the baby is expected to survive.

Investigators are also appealing for a bystander who asked the pregnant woman if she was okay but did not remain at the scene to contact the Oxford County OPP.
