The flurries have tapered off following a frustrating morning commute in the London region.
Environment Canada has ended its special weather statement for London, Parkhill, Strathroy, Komoka and Eastern and Western Middlesex County.
The OPP responded to over 30 collisions in the region Wednesday morning, including a crash south of the city on Highbury Avenue, near Glanworth Drive.
Officers also responded to several reports of vehicles in the ditch along the Hwy. 402. Traffic was also backed up on Hwy. 401 in the Ingersoll area, after a vehicle rolled into the centre media near Putnam Road.
While snowfall amounts from the weather system will be relatively modest, we’re only expected to get between 4 and 8 centimetres of snow, brief bursts of heavier snow could cause visibility issues.
The national weather service says an area of snow associated with a Texas Low pressure area tracking to the south of the Lower Great Lakes has arrived this morning as expected.
Commuters are advised to give themselves some extra time to reach their destination.
