Following reports of stolen Christmas lights Sunday, St. Thomas police arrested two youths.

They say around 8:30 p.m., a citizen reported seeing individuals trying to steal Christmas lights from the medical building on West Avenue.

Officers say when they arrived at the scene they found and arrested a 15-year-old and a 12-year-old.

With an uncanny resemblance to the holiday classic How The Grinch Stole Christmas, police say the youths had a backpack filled with stolen projector lights from various properties around the south end of the city.

Officers drove around the city returning the stolen projector lights.

The young grinches were released to the custody of their parents.
