A 16-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder after a stabbing that killed another teen in Calgary’s Marlborough Park last week.
Calgary police said the accused is not the teenager who was first taken into custody at the scene of the crime. That 15-year-old has been released without being charged.
Leslie Sun Walk, 15, was found with a stab wound at around 5 a.m. on Nov. 15 in the 5500 block of Maddock Drive N.E. He was taken to hospital but died of his injury.

Police said the accused youth was arrested on Monday, Nov. 20.
He cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
“The accused and the victim were known to one other and the homicide was not random,” police said in a Tuesday statement.

Last year, police launched an investigation at the same residence after a 24-year-old man was killed following an altercation.
Tyler Sanderson died in hospital after being found seriously injured at around 9:15 p.m. on May 15, 2016.

“This address is the same address where Tyler Sanderson was killed in May 2016,” Schiavetta said last Wednesday.
“I cannot, at this time, confirm whether there is a familial connection to today’s homicide.”
