Four suspects wanted after parking officer assaulted in Toronto’s west end

Four suspects are wanted after a Toronto police officer was assaulted in the city’s west end early Saturday morning.

Toronto police said a parking enforcement officer was issuing tickets in the area of Dundas Street West and Ossington Avenue around 1 a.m. when three men and a woman had approached them.

Police said one of the men became aggressive and begun swearing at the officer.

It was shortly after that the same man approached the officer from behind and allegedly struck them in face, causing them to fall to the ground.

Police said the suspects fled the scene westbound toward Royal Street.

The man who hit the officer is described as six feet tall, with a medium build. He was wearing blue jeans and a navy blue puffy winter jacket at the time.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspects on Tuesday in hopes that someone could identify them.
