Investigation launched after plane crashes in southern Alberta

 THREE HILLS, AB- Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating after a small plane crashed in southern Alberta.

Around 9:15 on Tuesday morning, the plane with three people on board tried land at the Three Hills Airport, in bad weather. It landed short of the runway, damaging the landing gear and left wing.

One of the passengers received minor injuries, suffering from chest pain. The other passenger and pilot were not injured.

Emergency crews are now working to clean up a fuel leak from the plane.

RCMP say the plane came from La Crete, Alta.
