Police in London, U.K. were on scene at popular tourist spot Covent Garden, after a taxi hit several people Wednesday evening.
City of Westminster police said on Twitter that the incident, which occurred around 5 p.m. local time, was not related to terrorism.
London Ambulance released a statement saying that four people were injured.
“We worked closely with other members of the emergency services at the scene and treated a total of four patients,” the release read.
One man was treated for serious injuries, while two others had minor injuries and were transported to hospital. The fourth patient was treated on scene.
It added that several emergency vehicles, first responders and paramedics were sent to the Southampton Street area just after 5 p.m.
Metropolitan Police added in another news release that the taxi driver remained on the scene, and was detained.

The crash caused panic among nearby pedestrians, as it occurred just a day after a truck plowed into bicyclists in New York.
Images shared on social media showed a large police presence near the city’s Julibee Market.
