Oxford OPP have charged a 55-year-old London man in connection to an incident last week near a public school in Ingersoll, Ont., police said Tuesday.
Provincial police were called to the scene of Harrisfield Public School around 12:05 p.m. on Oct. 24, following a report of a suspicious male near the school.
At the scene, officers spoke to witnesses and obtained a suspect and vehicle description. No children at the school were approached by or spoken to by the suspect, witnesses told police.
Few other details have been made public, and OPP said they arrested a man without incident a few days later on Oct. 27.
A London man was charged with voyeurism and indecent act in a public place, and was held in custody for a bail hearing, police said.
The incident remains under investigation by the Oxford OPP Crime Unit. Police say there is no threat to public safety, adding they are confident the suspect acted alone.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
