Donald, Melania Trump host trick-or-treaters at White House

WASHINGTON – The White House says it will be welcoming ghost and goblins to the South Lawn for trick-or-treating on the eve of Halloween.

Families of school children from 20 schools in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia have been invited, along with military families and community organizations.

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump will be handing out presidential M&M’s and treats from the White House pastry kitchen, and the South Portico will be decorated in spider webs.

Fog will fill the air and trick-or-treaters will see bats and pumpkins decorated with the profiles of presidents past.

Federal agencies including NASA, the Secret Service and the National Park Service also will be handing out giveaways.
