Investigators have brought in more heavy equipment to a Salmon River Road property in the North Okanagan.
The property has been subject of an extensive search for nearly a week.
Police have confirmed that human remains have been found on the property.
RCMP have brought another RV-sized command centre to the site and have also stepped up their presence — bringing in more officers.
One of the residents, Curtis Wayne Segmoen, 36, is in custody after being arrested on charges stemming from alleged gun threats made to a sex trade worker in August.
Sagmoen has a court appearance scheduled for Thursday in Vernon.
