Police now investigating eighth homicide of the year in Regina

After a body was found in Eastview Wednesday morning, police have concluded the victim was murdered.

Police were called to the 1000 block of Atkinson Street for a report that a man was laying outside a residence and appeared not to be breathing.

Police and EMS arrived and confirmed that the man, who was in his mid-twenties, was deceased.

This is Regina’s eighth homicide of the year. Police said this incident doesn’t heighten any risk to members of the public.

The victim has been identified, but his next of kin have not been notified.
