Nova Scotia’s recently-announced education consultant wants feedback on how the public views the province’s education system.
According to a press release, Avis Glaze, the Ontario-based expert brought in to carry out an education system administrative review, is looking for feedback on three questions:
- What administrative changes would you propose should be made to the education system to ensure the focus is on the needs of students?
- What changes would you propose should be made to the Department of Education and Early Child Development?
- What changes would you propose should be made to the administration of school boards?

The survey is available at https://novascotia.ca/adminsurvey/
The deadline for feedback is Nov. 3, and Glaze’s final report is expected Dec. 31.

According to the province, Glaze’s education system administrative review is looking at the province’s “governing school boards, central administrative offices and administration at the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.”
The goal is to ensure that Nova Scotia has the right administrative structure in place to support student success.
