The two incidents took place within a week of each other and just four streets apart. In both cases, a young girl was groped by a man who then fled the scene.

Mounties said the girls were able to provide a description of the suspect in both cases, and forensic artists have now compiled several composite sketches.

Officers canvassing the area also obtained surveillance video of the alleged suspect.

Surrey RCMP Cpl. Scotty Schumann said the nature of the incidents and the close proximity of where they occurred led investigators to believe it’s the same man, but they’re not completely sure.

“It’s likely one and the same person, however we’re not going to eliminate the possibility that it could be two,” Schumann said.

“We do have three composite photos and we also have a still from a surveillance video and there is a bit of difference from the three, but it does certainly appear as though it could be one and the same person.”

Mounties are now circulating an updated description of the man.

He is described as a Caucasian male between the ages of 30 and 40 years old, between 5’10” and 6′ tall, and weighing between 170 and 180 lbs.
