Up to 19 vehicles involved in crashes causing massive delays on Port Mann Bridge

The morning commute was a mess on the Port Mann Bridge once again this morning, after multiple crashes caused headaches for drivers. Ted Chernecki reports on the growing calls for something to be done – Oct 10, 2017

If you usually take the Port Mann Bridge to work, you know it was a major traffic headache Tuesday morning.

Up to 19 vehicles were involved in multiple crashes just before the bridge in the westbound lanes, causing massive delays out of Surrey for commuters.

The accidents were in both the Lougheed Highway exit lanes and the regular lanes with only one lane getting through in each section.

An 11-car pileup backed up the regular thru-lanes and HOV lanes.

Seven or eight vehicles were also involved in crashes in the Lougheed Highway exit lanes, causing massive delays there as well.

Traffic is now starting to clear from Highway 1.
