Scott Thompson: What are you thankful for?

Although many may consider Labour Day the unofficial end of summer, with temperatures being what they have, it may as well be Thanksgiving.

So far, with warmer conditions in fall than most of the summer, this long weekend may feel more like Canada Day.

Forget about frost on the pumpkin, it more likely to be sunscreen or BBQ sauce.

I asked my family (all kidding aside) what five things they are most thankful for, here is how they answered:

1. family
2. good health
3. food & water
4. education
5. One kid even said ‘living in a protected country’

I thought how profound.

But then the list went to hell:

Electronic device.

Free Wi-Fi.

Golf.

Paddle board.

Hockey.

At least it started in the right place.
