A.C. Paving says it’s owed nearly $900,000 after finishing extra jobs and emergency work when it was contracted in 2015 to reline and maintain the Stoney Creek tributary culvert in Burnaby.
B.C. Supreme Court documents say the contract could be adjusted if problems were found at the site, or if more work had to be done.

The lawsuit alleges the city has only paid about 20 per cent of the $1.1 million the company is owed.
The company claims not receiving a full payment from Burnaby has prevented it from being able to bid on other public projects.
None of these claims has been proven in court.
The City of Burnaby has not yet returned a request for comment.
