Alberta election 2017: Opportunity No. 17 results

The Municipal District of Opportunity No. 17 has elected a new council, however a recount has been requested in Ward 1, where the election night count saw incumbent councillor Dwayne Calliou losing his seat by a single vote.

According to unofficial results from the M.D., the four councillors elected to Ward 1 were Marcel D. Auger, Everett Gottfried, Darlene Jackson and Robin Guild.

Ward 2 will be represented by Victor Gladue and Barry Schmidt.

Ward 3 elected Kevin Bigstone; Ward 4 elected Louis. A. Cardinal and Ward 5 elected Leo Alook.

Ward 6 will be represented by Brendan Powell and Ward 7 by Roy Yellowknee.
