Alberta election 2017: Brooks results

There was no contest for mayor of Brooks, but the new council will see some returning alongside a few new faces, preliminary municipal election results showed on Monday night.

Barry Morishita was acclaimed as mayor. The council will be made up of incumbents Norman Gerestein (1,064 votes), Dan Klein (862 votes) and Bill Prentice (909 votes).

The new councillors are John Petrie (1,360 votes), Jon Nesbitt (966 votes) and Michael Glynn Macdonald (851 votes).
