Richard Poole has been elected mayor of Blackfalds, according to unofficial election results released on the town website.
Poole received four times as many votes as opponent Gary Smith.
Ray Olfert and Will Taylor were re-elected to council. Joining them will be Marina Appel, Jamie Hoover, Rebecca Stendie and Laura Svab.
