Incumbent Karen Sorensen has been re-elected mayor of Banff. She won with 1,223 votes, beating out Hugh Pettigrew, who earned 958 votes, according to unofficial results posted by the town.
Incumbent councillors Grant Canning, Ted Christensen, Corrie DiManno, Chip Olver and Brian Standish were also re-elected, along with newcomer Peter Poole.
