SASKATOON – Blizzard conditions and blowing snow are creating havoc on Saskatchewan highways.

Travel is currently not recommended on almost every highway in an area bounded by Highways 1, 11 and 16 with the exception of the Maple Creek area.

Many highways in those areas have also been closed.

Highway 1 from Regina to Swift Current is shut down and all highways in the Moose Jaw area with the exception of Highway 39 are closed.

The Ministry of Highways has advised operators are being pulled from all closed highways for safety precautions and will not return to clearing those roads until the highways have reopened.
