One man is dead after a single-vehicle collision in central Alberta on Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 8:15 a.m., RCMP were called to the crash on Highway 595 at Range Road 260, just east of Red Deer.

Police released few details about the crash but said the man driving the vehicle died of injuries sustained in the collision. His family has been notified and his name is not being released.
The crash forced the closure of Highway 595 between Highway 808 and Range Road 255 in both directions for several hours. It reopened shortly after 1 p.m.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
