Charges have been laid after a break-in in the small mountain town of Jasper in western Alberta. RCMP said they received a complaint on Sept. 16 of a home invasion involving two male suspects.
Police said the men broke into an apartment in Jasper and threatened the tenant with a baseball bat. The suspects stole multiple items in the apartment and fled the scene shortly after.

An arrest warrant for Josiah John Jacobs, 33, was issued. On Sept. 19, following a joint investigation between RCMP and Edmonton police, he was found in the Edmonton area and arrested.
Jacobs is charged with break and enter, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief under $5,000 and theft under $5,000.
Jasper RCMP believe the home invasion was a targeted incident and that the public is not at risk.
