The Calgary Stampeders extended their win streak at home to six in a row and eight overall this season with a 27-13 win over the B.C. Lions for family day at McMahon Stadium Saturday.
Going into the match, the Lions were riding a five game losing streak while the Stamps were looking to make their record 10-1-1 with a win.
Calgary got on the board first with a touchdown from Marken Michel. To end the first quarter, the Stamps held a 7-1 lead.
It was a quiet second quarter with a couple field goals from both teams.
At halftime it was 13-4 for the Stampeders.
There was no major scoring in the third quarter, the BC Lions managed a field goal to make it 14-7 Calgary.
It was all Stampeders in the 4th with Reggie Begelton getting his first touchdown just before the three minute warning to make it 27-10 Calgary.
When all was said and done the Calgary Stampeders came out on top for their eighth straight win, beating the BC Lions 27-13.
