A Lethbridge man and woman are facing drug-related charges after Lethbridge police searched a downtown apartment last week.

In a news release Tuesday, police said they believed an apartment building along the 500 block of 7 Street South was being used for drug transactions involving homeless people.

Police searched the apartment on Wednesday and reported finding approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine, $4,600 in cash, some drug paraphernalia, two cellphones, an axe and four knives. The estimated street value of the drugs is around $5,000.

Stacey Dawn Heidel, 41, is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property, possession of the proceeds of crime, and two counts of breach of recognizance.

Jerome Ross, 35, is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property and possession of the proceeds of crime.
