Suspect arrested after senior robbed, knocked to ground: London police

London police say they’ve collared a suspect in connection with the alleged robbery of a 72-year-old man in the city’s downtown two weeks ago.

It was around 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29 when officers say the senior was approached by a male suspect in the area of Dundas and Colborne Streets.

Investigators say the man was robbed and pushed to the ground. He suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

The Street Crimes Unit led the investigation and a 28-year-old London man was arrested in the case on Monday. He was charged with robbery.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
