Shoplifter targets Peterborough Shoppers Drug Mart stores: police

Police are looking to identify a woman wanted in connection with the theft of nearly $2,500 in medication and makeup from Shoppers Drug Mart stores in Peterborough.

Around noon on Aug. 12, police say a woman entered the Shoppers Drug Mart on Charlotte Street in the city’s downtown and concealed $950 worth of items in a bag and left the store.

On Aug. 15 around 11 a.m., the same suspect is believed to have entered a Shoppers on Lansdowne Street and stole $1,500 worth of medication products.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black woman in her early 20s. She was wearing black tights, a black long sleeve shirt, a black baseball cap and pink shoes.
