New Brunswick man dies in collision between motorcycle, car; woman arrested

A 44-year-old man from Lower Hainesville is dead and a 44-year-old woman is in custody after a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Temple, N.B., on Saturday.

New Brunswick RCMP received a report of a collision on a Temple Road shortly before 8:30 p.m.

The man, who was the driver of the motorcycle, died as a result of his injuries.

When officers arrived, the car involved in the crash was not at the scene, but the 44-year-old female driver of the vehicle was later located and arrested in relation to the collision.

The Mounties believe alcohol to be a factor in the collision and their investigation is continuing.

The RCMP are looking to speak with two people who were in a white pickup truck in the Temple area around 8 p.m. on Saturday.

They believe the pair may be witnesses who have information that could assist in their investigation.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was released on a promise to appear in Woodstock Provincial Court on Nov. 28.
