Cape Breton police lay charges following vehicle/pedestrian fatality

Cape Breton Regional Police have laid charges following a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian this week that left a man dead.

Police were called to a collision on Argyle Street in Sydney, N.S. around 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 31.

When they arrived on scene, officers located a 37-year-old man who was deceased. The man’s name has not been released by police.

Police say they have charged Larry Daniel Stevens, 34, with manslaughter in connection with the incident.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
