He wasn’t expecting his friends to “redecorate” his home while he was gone.

“(The friend) asked five of my other friends to help give me a little surprise,” Montpetit told Global News, adding he got home from the airport at 1 a.m. on Aug. 15.

Rows and rows of white cups meticulously lined the floor of his home, tin foil enveloped his appliances and colourful sticky notes completely covered his bathroom.

It took the 26-year-old two hours to clean up the mess.

“I was a little bit desperate the first minute, but it was way too funny to be angry about it,” he told Global News.

“It’s my type of humour. As firefighters we always do pranks like that, but this one was creative.”

He said he’s currently “investigating” to figure out who are the six suspects involved in the “crime.”

And yes, he says there will be pay-back.

“Let’s just say, I will remember it and soon, we will see a Part Two of this prank,” he laughed.

“I have some name in my head. I will find out soon and probably do the same, but worst for sure. I always do a little bit more.”
