Halifax RCMP investigate armed robbery in Upper Tantallon

RCMP have arrested three people in connection with an assault in Antigonish, N.S. RCMP

Halifax District RCMP are investigating an armed robbery they say occurred in Upper Tantallon Monday evening.

Police say they responded to a report of an armed robbery on Hammonds Plains Road. They say he pumped gas into his motorcycle, entered the business and paid for his gas before producing a knife telling the clerk he was robbing the business.

The suspect was given an undetermined amount of money and then left on his bike. No one was injured.

According to police, the suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, standing approximately 5-feet-10. He was wearing a black biker-style jacket, knee-length khaki shorts and a white motorcycle helmet with a visor. He was also riding a black sports-style motorcycle.

Members of the RCMP Forensic Identification Section responded to the scene as well.
