Suspicious package on Marion not a bomb: Winnipeg Police

Winnipeg police say a suspicious package attached to a truck’s fuel tank on Marion Street was not an explosive device.

An employee of an industrial park in the 700 block of Marion Street reported the package to police just before 10 am Monday.

The bomb squad attended and dismantled the device.

Police say it was not explosive, but it’s not clear exactly what it was.

Employees of the industrial park had been evacuated, but are back to work.
