Authorities are searching for a man they say is accused of causing a commotion after threatening to blow-up a TTC subway train.
Toronto police say that they were called shortly before 2pm about a passenger, on a crowded train southbound on the Yonge line, who was threatening his fellow passengers with an express desire to blow-up the train.
Police say that consequently, the train was evacuated unsafely.
The TTC had responded by temporarily suspending service on Line 2 from Broadview to St. George and on Line 1 from Union to Eglinton.
Officers deemed the station safe a short time later, but the suspect remains outstanding.
Police said that the man in question was last seen exiting Bloor station amidst the crowds.
Police are looking for a man wearing dark coloured shorts, a dark coloured shirt with rolled up sleeves, baseball cap, and glasses. He also had a black backpack on.
