Police investigating homicide after fatal stabbing in North Point Douglas

Winnipeg police are investigating at a North Point Douglas home Friday morning.

Winnipeg police are investigating a homicide at a North Point Douglas home where two people were stabbed.

Police first responded to the home in the 100 block of Euclid Avenue Thursday at 7:45 p.m. for reports of an “injured male”, according to a news release Friday.

Officer found a 29-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman who had been stabbed. Both of the victims were rushed to hospital in critical condition where the woman was later upgraded to stable condition. The man died in hospital.

Officers had cordoned off a number of homes on the 100 block of Euclid Avenue and surrounded the area with police tape.
