Human remains discovered at construction site in Okotoks: RCMP

RCMP are investigating after human remains were found at a construction site in Okotoks, Alta. on Monday.

Investigators wouldn’t immediately identify the exact location where the remains were found. Global News has learned it is a construction site northwest of the intersection at Northridge Drive and Milligan Drive, alongside Highway 2A on the north side of Okotoks.

Police continued to search the scene Tuesday, saying the area would be held by police pending autopsy results.

Mounties said the remains were uncovered at around 7:30 a.m.

“No further information regarding the investigation or the identity of the remains is available at this time,” Cpl. Curtis Peters said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
