A man died Sunday morning after falling from the 16th floor of an apartment building in Yaletown.

On Thursday, July 20, police said officers responded to a 911 call from an apartment building in the area of Smithe Street and Pacific Boulevard just after midnight July 16.

Officers and the BC Ambulance Service arrived and discovered that a person had died as a result of a fall, said police.

Const. Jason Robillard says at this point, the death is not considered suspicious and the investigation has been turned over to the B.C. Coroners Service.
