Calgary police investigate early morning shooting in Taradale

Calgary police are investigating a shooting in the community of Taradale on Monday.

Officers were called to the 0-100 block of Tararidge Court N.E. just after midnight for reports of several people with guns and shots fired.

Police said Monday the investigation is in the preliminary stages but no shell casings had been located and no injuries were reported.

Officers are in the process of speaking with witnesses to get more details about what exactly may have happened.

In a news release, police said they have determined the shooting “was not a random incident.”
