Missing 9-year-old Cambridge, Ont. girl found safe: police

Ontario Provincial Police say a nine-year-old girl has been found safe after she was reported missing Monday.

Huron County OPP said the girl had been visiting relatives at a residence on Brandon Road in Ethel, Ont., when she was last seen leaving the home with her mother and brother around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police came into contact with the girl’s mother and brother at around 12:19 p.m. on Sunday, after responding to a suspicious vehicle occurrence on Brandon Road. The girl was not with her mother and brother at that time.

Her mother is currently in custody, facing charges of break and enter, and police said she’s not cooperating with the investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Huron County OPP by calling 1-888-310-1122 or 519-524-8314.
