Fire destroyed a house being built in a community southeast of Edmonton and caused damage to the home next door.
Camrose firefighters were called just after 5 a.m. to the Creekview neighbourhood, a new development on the south edge of town.
Thirty firefighters arrived to find a home on fire near 52 Street and 36 Avenue. Crews were not able to save the home from being destroyed.
Because the home was still being built, no one was inside at the time.
The flames also caused damage to the home next door. No word on if anyone was in that home at the time.
An investigation into the cause is underway and a damage estimate has yet to be done.
Camrose is 80 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.
