A cab driver lost control of his car and drove into a group of people at Logan Airport in Boston on Sunday afternoon.
Ten people suffered injuries ranging “in severity from serious to minor,” according to a Massachusetts State Police statement.
A police official told the Associated Press the crash is believed to be a case of “operator error” in which the driver stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake.
The white cab, with front-end damage, came to rest against a building.
Police say the car drove into a group of pedestrians, in an area where taxi drivers take their breaks.
The driver, a 56-year-old man, remained on the scene after the crash and was being interviewed by police.
“At this preliminary point in the investigation, there is no information that suggests the crash was intentional,” police said in a statement.
