WINNIPEG — Winnipeggers were out in full force wearing red and white to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday Saturday.
From The Forks to Assiniboine Park to Osborne Street, thousands took in the city’s festivities to mark the national milestone.

On top of the traditional attractions, The Forks featured live music and entertainment for all ages throughout the day.
“It’s something you put on the bucket list. It’s Canada 150. You can’t miss it,” Susanne Hrynchuk, who was visiting The Forks said.
Annual fireworks at The Forks are scheduled for 11 p.m.
In the Osborne Village, people were packed shoulder to shoulder on Osborne Street for an all-day street party.
The busy roadway is closed from Confusion Corner to River Avenue until midnight Saturday.
Further west in the city, Assiniboine Park was a hot spot for children throughout the day.
The open green space behind The Pavilion was filled with inflatables and games for children of all ages to enjoy.
There was also live entertainment on the park’s main stage.
