Edmonton transit customers are reminded to check the bus schedule, because 70 routes will be affected by summer schedule changes beginning on Sunday.
The city said beginning July 2, some ETS routes will be reduced or changed in lower demand areas.
Some routes will change where or how far they go, and on some routes, a transfer may be required.

The city said service times for a number of low-used routes — such as late evening — will discontinue, but some other routes may be available to get to the same destination.
Six underused routes (42, 73, 96, 157, 316 and 338) are being cancelled altogether. A full list of service changes is available online and at the bottom of this story.
The city said the changes are being made during the summer because many people are on vacation and schools are on break. The reduced service hours will be added back in the fall to address overcrowded buses and improve busy route schedules.

City council standards require a minimum of 30 passengers per hour for peak times and 15 passengers per hour for other times on regular routes, according to the city.
ETS makes service adjustments five times a year in order to meet the standards and improve overall service.
The city said the changes are expected to affect less than one per cent of riders.
